Lighthouse Park: Contracts Voted

NORTH WILD WOOD - The city has awarded two contracts totaling $92,131 for improvements at the Hereford Lighthouse Park, Mayor Lewis G. Vinci reported Dec. 27. Vinci stated that paved parking will be provided with spaces for the handicapped. The work will be done with a loan grant from the state's Green Acres Program. It provides for a 20-year repayment cost at two percent interest, the mayor noted. HANSELMAN. Inc., of Cologne, will handle $81,478 of the project under general construction. More than 5,000 feet of paved courtyard make up the most expensive item in the contract in the amount of $36,000. The second contract is for $10,653 to Marsden Brothers Electric, Inc., for electrical work which will feature installation of Victorian-type lampposts for the area. Paving, drainage work, picket fencing, and installation of seven benches, five 12-feet long and two 8-feet long, as well as curbing and driveway work, make up the bulk of the rest of the project.
