Freeholders Ask Divine Help

COURT HOUSE - New Freeholder-Di-rector William E. Sturm Jr. made two quick changes in meeting procedures last week. "We'll begin with the Lord's Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance," announced Sturm, apparently surprising even a couple of his fellow freeholders. Asked later about the change, Sturm told this newspaper "We could always use a little help from the Almighty , it provides a calming influence "And it never hurts to salute the flag," he added. "It reminds us of our responsibility." The board has not opened with the prayer or pledge in Sturm's memory, and he's the senior member with 15 years service. Sturm said he would call on a different freeholder each time to lead the prayer and pledge.
