Helen J. Boyle. 72, of Cape May, Jan. 16. A retired medical technician for the state of Pennsylvania, she was a local resident for four years. She was born in Philadelphia. Lee C. Braddock, 75, formerly of North Cape May, Jan. 18. A retired pharmacist at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, he made his home in Linwood for the past decade. Gertrude H. Christie, 73, of Whitehouse Station, Jan. 14. An Avalon summer resident, she was corporate secretary and treasurer for Environmental Testing and Balancing Inc. of Summerville. James M. Clark Jr., 88, of Cold Spring. Jan. 18. A retired architect, he was the first architect in this country to be registered as an architect without a formal college degree. He was past president of the South Jersey Society of Architects and former chairman of the Cape May Zoning Board. Mae W. Clayton, 83, of Ocean City, Jan. 14. A former resident of the Olney section of Philadelphia, she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and St. Peter's United Methodist Church. She was a local resident for 21 years. Gladys Still Cooper. 72, formerly of Swainton, Jan. 15 in Citrus Heights, Calif. She was a member of the John Wesley United Methodist Church, Swainton and was buried in the church's cemetery. John E. Darnell, 28, of
Sea Isle City, Jan. 14 in a drowning accident. An electrician, he was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 98, Philadelphia. He was a Cherry Hill resident until he moved here five years ago. John R. Donley. 81, of Cape May, Jan. 16. A lifetime resident of Cape May, he was a firefighter for more than three decades. A longtime employee of Hunt's Theaters, he was a member of the Cape Island Deer Club. Fred Forster. 82, of Ocean City, Jan. 15. Formerly of Brooklyn, N.Y. where he worked as a banker in the Bond Dept. of the City Bank of New York, he was a local resident for seven years. Irene L. Gentless, of Sea Isle City. She was a local resident for a decade. Mason G. Iloman, 80, of North Cape May, Jan. 17. Formerly of Secane, Pa., where he worked as a salesman for Interboro Laundry Co. in Lansdowne. Pa., he was a local resident for 17 years. Mary P. Imbesi. of Ocean City. Jan. 12 in St. Augustine. Fla. Beatrice Beideman Mays. 72, of Wildwood Crest, Jan. 13. A retired teacher in the Camden public Schools where she spent most of her career at the H.C. Sharp School, she was a local resident for a year-and-a-half. She was a member of the Hope Memorial Baptist Church,
Camden. Peter J. McGinley, 51, of West Wildwood, Jan. 16. A Korean War Navy veteran, he was an employee of the Wildwood City Dept. of Water for the past five years. He was a member of the West Wildwood Volunteer Fire Co., VFW Post 3509 of Wildwood, and American Legion Post 185. Rose Marie McCollum, 79, of Palermo, Jan. 15. Former owner and operator with her late husband of the Old Peach Orchard Inn in Pleasantville. she was a member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic church. She lived in Pleasantville for 25 years before moving here a year ago. Laura McManus, 78, of Cape May, Jan. 16. A local resident for four decades, she was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post 193, aMd of the Coast Guard Officer's Wives Club. She was born in Staten Island. N.Y. Minona W. Peberdy, 86. of Cape May, Jan. 13. A local resident for 25 years, she was a former officer of the Cape May Community Club, and a past Royal Matron of the Order of Amaranth.
