What made me a believer is a recent visit to see my cousin, who operates a J rather large garden center In fact, my squirrel-hating friend has been one of his

customers in his efforts to : get his bird feeders squirrel-proofed. ON MY LAST visit to the garden center. I saw an inflatable plastic snake complete with instructions on how to use it to keep unwanted pests out of the garden. Listed were birds, rabbits and squirrels. It didn't mention the friends who show up with sacks and baskets to pick the produce but never show up when the bottom of the boat needs painting, or in some cases, won't take fish unless they are cleaned. Maybe I should use a trash can lid and a ladle to scare off some of my friends.
