TCE Program Aids Seniors on Taxes

OCEAN CITY - Additional counselors from Cape May County have been trained this year to . assist county senior citizens in preparing their income tax returns. WILDWOOD CREST - The 68th annual meeting and election of officers and directors of the Crest Savings and Loan Association was held recently at the main office. Kenneth S. Coombs was elected chairman of the board. James Scrivani, vice chairman; Ross Versaggi, second vice chairman; Lucy Walker, president and manager; Barbara Ransom, vice president and treasurer; Maryanne F. Lauriello, . Secretary; R. James^ Jones, assistant treasurer;

Roberta Townsend, assistant secretary, and the law firm of Way and Belasco, Solicitor. Named to new terms on the board of directors were: P. Martin Way III, John Taylor and Lucy Walker. John Anderson was named as director emeritus. Other directors continuing in office are Kenneth S. Coombs, James Scrivani, Ross Versaggi, Frank Colson, Donald Long and Andrew Scrivani.

Chamber ' Centers To Open COURT HOUSE - The Cape May County Chamber of Commerce will open its visitors' information center at milepost 1 1 on the Garden State Parkway for the Presidents' Holiday Weekend. The office and Information center is open MondayFriday 9-4:30 p.m. during winter months. Because of the increasing popularity of this February holiday weekend the chamber directors voted to open the Information center 10 a.m. -4 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. -3 p.m. Sunday February 15 and 16 CHAMBER members whose businesses will be open that weekend are urged to notify the chamber office and to bring in a supply of their brochures to the Information center so visitors can be referred for accommodations, meals, shopping and attractions. The Welcome Center at the Seaville Service Area of the Garden State Parkway (milepost 18) operated jointly by the State of NewJersey Division of Travel and Tourism and the county chamber will continue to be open seven days a week as it has been since Jan. 4. Hours of operation at Seaville are 9 a.m. -4 p.m. daily. Members are urged to drop off their brochures at the Seaville Center as well.
