Valentine Supper Slated at SJCA
ERMA — Christian educator Steve Taylor will be guest speaker at a Valentine's covered dish supper at South Jersey Christian Academy 6:30 p.m. Friday, in Michael Hall at the school.
Taylor, a former SJCA school board member and Cape May County businessman, will speak on the importance of a Christian philosophy of education. and the place of South Jersey Christian Academy in the Christian school movement. He is currently high school principal at Christian Heritage School of Trumbull, Conn., a K-12 Christian school system. PARENTS, grandparents. friends of the
l school, and anyone inI terested in SJCA are invited to attend. Each fami- , ly should bring a covered dish adequate for that family plus two other peoi pie. Beverage, dessert. plates and utensils will be [ provided.
Children are especially welcome. During Taylor's talk, a film will be shown for the youngsters. An offering will be taken at the dinner in support of SJCA, South Jersey Christian Academy is a K-8 evangelical Christian day school located in the Tabernacle Church complex here. The school is governed by its own independent, interdenominational school board. There are currently classroom openings at all grade levels.
Cape May Lutheran CAPE MAY - The congregation of Cape May Lutheran Church will focus Sunday on temptations of Jesus. Pastor Ron Nelson will preach on a text from Luke 4: 1-13 sharing the fact that all face temptation. Sunday school begins 9:30 a.m. The worship service begins 11 a.m. with special Lehten music presented by the Senior Choir under the direction of Frances Hesel. A coffee fellowship will follow. Mid-week Lenten service will be held 7:30 p.m. Wednesday with the sermon theme titled "The Devil You Say".
