Brochures Offered byChamber COURT HOUSE - The Cape May County Chamber oi Commerce, which serves as a "resource center" for the U.S. Small Business Administration, has just received a new supply of business brochures and booklets from the Small Business Administration. These publications, which are free, are available in the chamber's Information Center lobby. The center is open 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. The publications are geared for small business owners or those planning on going into business. There are approximately 50 different brochures on such topics as: "Refinancing your Business", "Setting up an Inventory Control", "Setting Up and Choosing an Accounting and Bookkeeping System", and "Identifying and Surveying your Market Area".

STONE HARBOR - Richard D. Rodgers has been appointed to the newly created post of chief operations officer at Sturdy Savings and Loan Association. According to Sturdy President John Armour. Rodgers was reappointed as senior vice president as well as being named to the new position at a recent meeting of the association. Rodgers has been employed with Sturdy for the past 154 years, serving as senior vice president since 1984. He and his wife, Donna. live in Avalon with their- daughter, Jennifer. THREE MEMBERS of Sturdy's board of directors were re-elected to threeyear terms at the meeting. They include Clarence D. Fisher, Donald A. Gaver and John N. MacLeod. Fisher, the owner of Seashore Home Supply, a retail establishment in Stone Harbor, has been on the board of directors for 40 years. Gaver. a Cape May attorney with the firm Gaver and Gaver, has served on the board for 36 years. MacLeod, of Woodbine, served the Cape May County Extension Service for 27 years as senior county agent and a professor of Cook College. Rutgers University. He has also been a member of the county Planning Board since 1960 Ellis A. Mixner, chairman of the board, who has served on the board at Sturdy for 48 years, and Armour. who has served for 20 years, were also reappointed to their po6ts. IN ADDITION, three Sturdy employes received promotions. Kenneth Hawk has been named manager of Sturdy's Stone Harbor office after serving as manager of the North Cape May office. Hawk, who has been with Sturdy for four years, is a graduate of Rider College and has completed a number of courses through the Institute of Financial Education. He and his wife, Mary, live in Stone Harbor with their son, Benjamin. Craig F. Pilczuk, whose career in banking spans 20 years, is the new manager

of Sturdy's North Cape May office. A GRADUATE of Atlantic Community College with a degree in banking, Pilczuk is past president of the American Institute of Banking, where he served two terms. He also received the institute's basic, standard and general certification. Pilczuk and his family live in Cape May Point. Christine Sands, who has been employed with Sturdy for three years as secretary to the senior vice president, was named assistant secretary of the association. An Avalon resident. Sands attended Rider College and has completed

courses through the American Institute of Banking.
