CARPETING CAN SAVE YOU ENERGY Your carpeting choice adds more to your home than just aesthetics. It adds something very topical and of concern to all homeowners: energy insulation. While there are specific products on the market to deal with energy insualtion don't discount the effectiveness of your carpet floorcovering. Most homeowners are concerned about the rising costs of heating and cooling their homes. They want a home that is properly insulated, and insulation goes beyond the walls and ceilings. By its very- nature, carpeting is an excellent thermal insulator: when installed over cushioned padding, it can appreciably contribute to a properly insulated home. In addition to the dollars and cents you earn in energy savings, carpeting engenders a perception of climatic comfort. With a national tendency to lower the thermostate in cool climates, a carpeted .home feels warmer because of the visual warmth carpeting adds to a room. And yet carefully chosen, carpeting can have an overall cooling effect in the warmer climates. As your floorcovering expert, we can help you choose your carpeting with an eye towards style and practicality Come in and discuss your special needs with us and we'll design a carpet treatment for your lifestyle.
