CCC Slates Workshops On Science

VINELAND — Primary and intermediate teachers may enhance their teaching skills in earth and space science during a series of free workshops conducted at Cumberland County College during t April. May and June. J At the workshops. CCC Professor William Olivero ' will present lectures and slide shows and Robert Blough. GSC elementaryeducation professor, will lead participants in conducting laboratory experiments. Areas covered will include solar and lunar eclipses, sunspots, the planets, the atmosphere, seasons, the hydrolic cycle and the history of

astrology. THE EARTH and space workshops will be held for primary ( grades K through 3) teachers 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. April 7. 14, 21 and 28. They will be held for intermediate (grades 4 through 6) teachers 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. May 5. 12. 19 and June 2. The workshops are part of a project conducted by the Southern Jersey Elementary Science Teaching/Learning Institute established by GSC in association with the six South Jersey community colleges and in cooperation with the Southern Regional County Superintendents and the Regional Cur-
