Stockton Swamps Youths Swim Team

CAPE MAY - The city's i Youth Swim Team was i defeated by a strong Stockton team 330-134 at Stockton State College as the Cape May team won i seven individual and four 1 relay events. Leading the way was Justin Aftanis. who won

three individual and two relay events. His individual wins came in the 100 Fr. 100 BK and 100 I.M. Eric Axelsson had wins in the 100 Fr and 50 Fl plus two relay events. Young Chad de Satnick came in first in the 25 Br and 25 Fl. Jason Phillips had firsts in the 25 Br and 25 Fl. Phillips and Michael Campbell had two first place wins in relay events. OTHER FIRST place winners in relay events included Jennifer Wright. Prudence Powell. Amie Schroder. Erika Axelsson. Joseph Trombetta. Todd Chappcll, John Kellaway and Eric Mogck. Michael Campbell and Jason Phillips had three second place finishes apiece while Barbara McCasland and Megan Campbell had two seconds apiece. Other second place finishers included Tom Robson. Women 's Net Race Tightens CAPE MAY - The Lobster House remained in a tight race for first place in Women's Recreation Volleyball as they swept Needlers II by 15-6. 15-3. 15-0 and 15-1. The serves of Tasha Jordan with the hustle of Joanne DeCosta and Liz Fuller proved to be the keys for the Lobster House. Pete's Racquet Club took three of four from National Associates by 15-8. 15-0. 7-15 and 15-5 behind the play of Judy Ricco and Donna Mazurek. Neic Squad Will Lead Cheering DENNISVILLE - A squad of 12 cheerleaders and two alternates to perform at the township's recreational soccer and games and take part in parades and competitions was selected recently by the township recreation department Tryouts were held Feb 8 at the township elementary school, with 32 girls from the fourth through eighth grades taking part.
