. — . , By Libby Dcmp Forrest __ MARCH begins the passage of a new season, putting us closer to the first day of spring on March 20. While we can't expect the weather to change overnight, we can expect stretches of warmer days. We mustn't forget tho that March winds and storms can create havoc as springtime makes its' foothold It's .not yet time to put the winter clothes away, but it does seem to be the time to get started looking for spring and summer clothes. It'll be an early Easter - on March 30th. Will you be joining the Easter parade? As the days grow longer, it„'s always refreshing to observe the setting sun as w^prepare dinner, unlike the solemn night we found at dinnertime a few months ago. Along with the advent of approaching springtime, we're starting to think gardens. Out come the seed catalogs and graph paper as we fantasize about the beauty and fragrance of a summer garden. WHILE we await the arrival of spring, there are tasks aplenty to pursue there's old leaves to rake up and a check on how the old fence fared this winter. Lists and lists of things to do this month and next. It's almost time to v come out of hiebernation and begin the cycle of the seasons just ahead ') Look for bird arrivals and the rich chorus of springtime music that will be greeting the morning As spring takes hold, it's always worth celebrating a new season (any event, as a matter of facti by stepping out to a tasty brunch, lunch or dinner. We recommend these eating places for experiencing the good tastes of a new season: CANAL 42: Only the very best seafood and non-fish dishes are served at Canal 42. at the corner of 42nd Park Road.
