SEAVILLE — jjeanne Hansen isn't sloshing around in the bay and ocean anymore. The former senior environmental planner with the county Health Department has taken a position as program consultant for the Chest and Health Association of Southern NewJersey. At the Health Department. Hansen, who had a 34th birthday Sunday, "did everything." That included getting samples for the summer recreational waters monitoring program. and testing them in the lab. The new position is no desk job. Hansen will travel to give everything from environmental health workshops to smoking clinics. And she'll still be out in the field, taking acid rain samples weekly for an air quality management program in conjunction with the state DEP ; (Department of Environmental Protection > HANSEN IS A NATIVE of Cinnaminson who came

to the county in 1977 and started with county government in 1980 on the staff of the Planning Department. She moved to Health in 1982 She said she participated in writing the county's "208 Water Quality Management Plan" and in preparing position papers on environmental problems. COURT HOUSE - The Cape May Court House Neighborhood Association is holding its second annual membership drive and welcomes new members. The past year has brought several accomplishments to the association. It appealed a CAFRA decision to allow a septic system for the Court House Convalescent Center and successfully won the appeal. In October of 1985 the association was one of 18 recipients statewide to receive an Environmental Achievement Award from the Association of NewJersey Environmental Commissions. THERE ARE other issues the associations wishes to address in the future: historic preservation of Cape May Court House, toxic waste burns off our coast, and environmental problems caused by illegal dumping and infiltration of toxicwaste into water tables and food chains.
