RIO GRANDE - Under the slate Homestead Tax Relief Act of 1985, county home owners are entitled to tax relief through the deduction of property taxes from taxable income under
the Gross Income Tax Act. reminds the county Department on Aging. Even individuals with no tax liability to the state and who do not file a return may obtain a residentail tax credit, say officials. Such people must file Form 1040-A residential | property tax credit application.
