N. Wildwood Sets Boardwalk Redo
NORTH WILDWOOD - Mayor Lewis G. Vinci announced Feb. 26 the award of a $748,946. contract for reconstruction of a large section of the city's boardwalk and construction of the three-block long "missing link". Mayor Vinci said C.J.M. Contractors, Inc.. of Willow Drive. Newfield. will do the work and have the project completed before the summer season. SCHEDULED to be replaced are six blocks of boardwalk from its present terminus at 16th Avenue to 22nd Avenue, a total of about 1,600 feet Enough money was budgeted for the job to enable the city to build more than 700 feet of a 10-foot wide boardwalk walkway from 16th Avenue across an open beachfront area to join Kennedy Boulevard, which now dead-ends at 13th Avenue New pilings, beams and concrete substructure as well as street end ramps
