Teachers Honored
FISHING CREEK - Parents and students of Heritage Christian Academy. 123 Fishing Creek Road, honored their teachers by declaring Wednesday. Feb. 26. Teacher Appreciation Day. The teachers were greeted in the morning with a big surprise: halls draped with crepe paper streamers and balloons. Huge banners, which each student helped decorate, covered the walls. Fresh ABWA Holding Spring Drive OCEAN CITY - Ocean Charter Chapter of the American Business Women's Association (ABWA) will hold a spring enrollment event tomorrow at Gardens Plaza Condominium card room. According to President Rhoda Brown, the event will revolve around the theme. "Believe", and will focus on personal and professional growth opportunities for women Founded in 1949. ABWA is a national organization with a membership exceeding 110,000 women employed in all aspects and ' on all levels of business throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. coffee, tea and pastries were provided for breakfast. Vases of fresh flowers decorated their desks. During the morning Chapel Service, a special "Thank -you Prayer" was said. A gold Certificate of Appreciation was presented to each teacher, as well as a gaily tied basket filled with gifts collected from the students and their families. PUPPETS INTERRUPTED classes throughout the day to deliver hand-made crocheted hearts, paper flowers, balloons, gifts and special messages. A special luncheon was served. The honored teachers ate at a special table complete with linen tablecloth, china and antique crystal. The students shared in special treats and dessert. Sincere appreciation and gratitude was expressed to: Terri Noon, prekindergarten, Ann Fincke, kindergarten ; Sue Loveless, first and second grades; George Meadows, third grade and principal ; and Mildred Spriggs. music teacher and secretary.
