Dining & Entertainment !=? NM Guide ft is^?j ( ^ ! By Libby Demp Forrest f SPRINGTIME is just minutes away, officially due to arrive at 5:03 p.m. EST tomorrow- when the Vernal Equinox ' occurs. 'Vernal* means 'spring.* and 'equinox' means equal night*, thus on the first day of spring the sun moves so that day and night are equal in length all over the earth It's time to put on the old walking (or running) shoes and go out to celebrate the arrival of spring. Also on the calendar this week is Palm Sunday, a day of deep religious significance. It also marks that annual rediscovery of life at the seashore. A walk along a promenade celebrates that upbeat feeling that all's right with the world. WE ALWAYS enjoy the springtime and watching little things pop through the earth again. And then there is the sound of the peepers in the marshes that we love to listen to during our nightirrie walks. Springtime reawakens many memories for us. of times when boy met girl for a walk on a spring afternoon or evening. During a later time, we took the babies for strolls during springtime afternoons and the sound of their sweet laughter still echoes within us This is a great week for enjoying a fresh new season with a freshly prepared meal at a favorite restaurant. Here are some favorite restaurants we'd like to recommend: MAD BATTER. The Mad Batter reopens for the season this Friday evening, and we can't wait to enjoy the new exciting menu we've been hearing about. It seems like just yesterday that The Mad BatVer opened its' doors for the very first time — but this year celebrates the 10th anniversary of the restaurant at 19 Jackson Street thai put Cape May on the food connoisseur's itinerary. Mad Batter chefs have been traveling around the country this winter, seeking even more extraordinary regional and international dishes. Every Wednesday and Thursday the Mad Batter will be once again featuring International Nights with exotic, authentic full course meals from the far corners of the world, costing $16.75 complete Starting 4 p.m on March 30 the Mad Batter .will be serving a fabulous Family Easter Dinner — this sellout event calls for early reservations.
