Weekend Has Varied Events \

OCEAN CITY - A variety of Easter weekend ■events ranging from surfing to singing area set for the City beginning Saturday. The annual "Spring Swing" surfing competition, sponsored by the city's recreation department, starts 9 a.m. Saturday on the 7th Street Beach. The event is open to male and female surfers in various age groups. Many collegiate surfers will compete Registration is 8:30 a.m. at the beach ON SATURDAY. 1 p.m.. a children's movie. "Hot Lead and Cold Feet", will be shown at the Youth Center. 6th Street and Atlantic Avenue. The film is sponsored by the Ocean City PTA and Recreation Department. Sunday. 6:30 a.m.. sunrise services will be held at the Music Pier. Boardwalk and Moorlyn Terrace The event is presented by the Ministerium and Ecumenical Council The Rev. Robert Hughes. Homiletics Professor at the Lutheran Seminary in Philadelphia, will be guest speaker THE CITY'S gala Easter Parade fashion competition begins l p.m. Sunday in front of the Music Pier Prizes will be awarded to

Philadelphia TV personality. who will present a free showing of his talent review following the Easter Parade at approximately 3 p.m. Emcee^ will be Laurie Kohr of Ocean City, former Miss New Jersey and currently a beauty pageant performer She will be assisted by Gwen Goldberg. reigning Miss Ocean City. DURING THE parade Bill Bruestle and the "Sunshine Boys" Banjo Band will play sing-a-long music for the crowd. The Easter Bunny will make its annual appearance 1 p.m. at the pier to distribute free chocolate bunnies to youngsters.
