Sandpiper Takes Title CAPE MAY — Sandpiper x Monogramming Inc*. of Wildwood captured the Cape May Women's Power Volleyball championship March I defeating the team from Middle Township Kecrea t ion/ West side Market. M r d d I e Township/Westside came out strong, winning the first game 15-12 behind the excellent play -*of Robin I Gilbert. Jan Seer and Peg I Arnold Sandpiper then I dominated the match by I winning the final three I games 15-12. 15-11 and I 15-13. after getting some ■ superb sets by Merc Baumann and Marlene Meduch. Pat Komar and Sharon Mericle took advantage of the sets with awesome spikes. Sandpiper also had ~~ some good all-around play by Koxanne Krivitski and Sheri Hickok. Sharon Mericle. captain of Sandpiper, said. "If there had to be an unsung hero award tonight. I would have to give it to Marlene Meduch She played the best I've seen her play."
