A 50-year member of Lulu Temple Shrine, he formerly lived in Newburgh, N Y. where he operated a Chevrolet agency until retirement. He was a summer resident for 25 years. Ruth Sofroney Bell. 72. of Avalon, March 22. She taught in local schools for 42 years, having retired in 1971 after 25 years at the Avalon Elementary School where she was principal. She served as organist at the Sea Isle City Methodist Church. She was married to the late Fred Sofroney, former mayor of Sea Isle City, and the late Edgar Bell, former mayor of Avalon. Harry R. Bertolet, 85, of Cape May, March 17. A Navy veteran of World War II. he was a contact representative for the Veterans Administration and a member of the American Legion, both in Philadelphia. He was a local resident for 15 years. Forrest R. Bridegam. 76, of Ocean City, in New York City. A retired real estate and insurance broker, he operated his own firm for many years. He was past president of the Rotary Club of Ocean City, he was a Rotary Club Paul Harris Fellow. He was a member of Free and Accepted Masons Lodge No. 171 and the Atlantic City Commandery. Frank E.
