Drug Task Force Widens Outreach

CAPE MAY - The Cape May County Tasj^orce on Drugs and Drun^uriving will hold a meeting 9 a.m. Thursday, April 10. in the City Council Chambers. Cape May City officials, including police, school board and school personnel. as well as members of the community at large are invited to attend this community outreach program planned by the task force, according to Walter Craig, chief of the County Probation Office's Family intake unit, chairman of the Task Force. Community Outreach Information Network the (COIN) program has taken the Task Force into Middle Township and Stone Harbor, and after Cape May, sessions are planned in North Wildwood, Ocean City, Avalon and Sea Isle City, with other municipalities now being contacted to serve as host for meetings. Craig declared. City Manager Fred Coldren and community relations assistant Connie Kosten have arranged for the meeting in Cape May. They are being asked to notify local officials so they can arrange to attend the informational meeting. MEMBERS OF the StU dent Task Force, representing all the high schools in the county, are also scheduled to attend. Leaders of the task force, along with Craig, are Sister . Deanna Helm. Counselor at Wildwood Catholic High; Wish Zurawski, Community Relations Specialist for the City of North Wildwood; Lois Kilpatrick. liaison with county officials. Lt. William Hevener of Middle Township Police; his wife, Diane, representing the schools board of the county. and Police Chief James Sweitzer, of Stone Harbor, representing county police departments. The regular Task Force meeting will follow Keane's talk. . ^
