Ocean City Slates Aerobic Contest
OCEAN CITY - A threeday aerobics health and (itness competition, the first held here, is set for May 16 through 18 at the Music Pier. Boardwalk and Moorlyn Terrace. The event is open to both men and women and is sponsored by the Aerobic Research Clinic of Philadelphia, according to Mary Jane Tropiano. director. The competition format Scholastic | Surfing Winners AVALON - The National Scholastic Surfing Association and the Avalon Recreation Dept hosted a day-long surfing contest at the 30th Street Surfing Beach April 5. Conditions were generally poor because of a strong Northeast wind. The event comprised two main divisions. Open Season for highly skilled surfers and Explorer Season for those getting their start in surf contests NSSA National Team members Bruce Beach and Tom O'Brian each won their divisions, with Beach winning the Open Men's and O'Brian taking the Open Knee board class.
