Kathy Burke Sellers, president of the firm, purchased the agency last year and officially opened for business Jan. 2. SJI Sets Earnings Record FOLSOM - South Jersey Industries. Inc. (SJI). a diversified natural gas distribution and natural resources development holding company, reported record consolidated earnings of approximately $6.3 million for the first quarter of 1986. as announced by William F. Ryan, president and chief executive officer, at the company's annual meeting of shareholders. I Ryan reported that the consolidated earnings for the three months ended March 31 represented an increase ofapproximately 22 percent over the consolidated earnings of $5.1 million for the same period last year. EARNINGS PER share for the period amounted to $1.66 based on 3.774,996 average shares outstanding. compared to the first quarter of 1985 earnings per share, which were $1.44 based on 3.583.864 average shares outstanding. Consolidated operating revenues for the quarter ended March 31. 1986 totaled approximately $99.6 million, an increase of $4 million over the quarterly consolidated operating revenues for the same period last year. In his report to shareholders. Ryan noted that the total market value of the common stock of the Company as of April 15 was $137.4 million, an increase of 37 percent over the total market value of the common stock one year ago.
