Since in most cases relatives do not know when their loved ones perished in the concentration camps, this date has been set for " the memorial each year. This memorial program was organized by the Jewish Federation of Cumberland County and has received special funding/from the New Jersey G-tfm m i 1 1 e e on the Humanities and the Cumberland County Cultural and Heritage Commission. Council to Battle Apathy on Alcohol

COURT HOUSE - Jim Plousis, Cape May County sheriff and former Drunk Driver's Task Force leader, will co-host a reception with Greg Mayer, executive director for the county Council on Alcoholism, noon Saturday at the Golden Inn. Avalon. The reception will lead off Alcohol Awareness Month and highlight the county's efforts to warn the public about Drug and Drunk Driving issues. It will also highlight the education and prevention events scheduled for Ma v. THE FIRST special event in May will be the A.A.U.W s half day seminar about Women and Chemical Dependency 9:30 a m to 12:30 p.m. the same day at the Golden Inn. The next scheduled event is a workshop May 8 to train front line staff of service providers in intervention and motivation strategies for minorities. The third event is the council's legislative breakfast with Sen. James R. Hurley and John R. Edwards. Regional Curriculum Services Unit for the State of New Jersey. THE FOURTH event will be the Country Shore Women's Club S.O.B.E.R. Bike-a-Thon in Upper Township. The fifth event will be the distribution of S.O.B.E.R. materials on at least one boardwalk to remind the public that driving after drinking, or riding with a driver who has been drinking is a big mistake.
