Hospital Advisors Named
COURT HOUSE - An advisory committee composed of individuals representing communities throughout Cape May County has been formed by the Burdette Tomiin Memorial Hospital Board of Directors. The purpose is to gain more input regarding the health care concerns. needs and priorities of persons served by the hospital. The chairman of the group is Daniel Money, principal of the Vo Tech School in Crest Haven and a resident of Rio Grande. "THE NEW committee offers a way for community members to aid in problem solving and to influence planning for hospital services. We will /'provide the board with specific information and
recommendations." said Money. William H. Waldron III. BTMH president, agrees. "We are looking forward to positive two-way communication that will increase understanding and benefit our ongoing strategic planning process." At the first meeting. • Community Advisory Committee members previewed a new slide and sound presentation on the progress of the hospital. They were welcomed by Waldron and introduced to the members of his executive staff. Joann Oxley. director of community relations explained her role as liaison between the committee, staff and board. FUTURE MEETINGS of
the group will be held quarterly with resource persons present as needed. Committee members are currently working to identify what their neighbors feel to be the three greatest health care needs in their community. Input regarding that question or any other local health care concern will be welcomed by any of the following who serve on the committee: Joyce Berry.
