LOWER TOWNSHIP - [ Responding to a recent aci cusation by his opponents j in the municipal election. Councilman Joseph i Lonergan has charged that his Republican-backed rivals are "either ignorant of the facts" or "purposely trying to mislead the public". Lonergan says he has no intention of cutting police services or the road program. Under contract, the township must maintain the manpower in the police department, Lonergan * pointed out. As fpr the roads. Lonergan stated that 5300.000 was bonded for road work last year and the work estimates were under $200,000. He questions whether the requested $500,000 bonding this year is needed to do the road work planned for the year. 5

Young a Candidate In Dennis Primary
OCEANVIEW - Robert R. Young Jr. has announced his candidacy for Dennis Township Committee, seeking the Republican nomination in the June 3 primary. Young and his family have been residents since „ 1976 of Oceanview, where Janet, his wife, operates Young World Nursery School. A graduate of Moravian College, he is associated with Newbold Real Estate Co. of Avalon as a salesperson. - Active in civic affairs, I Young has served briefly I on the Dennis Township I Recreation Committee and I on the Dennis Township I School Board since 1980. He I is a member of the Sea Isle Methodist Church and the Runaway Athletic Club.
