HISTORIC CHURCH — First United Methodist Church, built in 1855 in Classic Revival style, will be site of antique and fine

craft show in the church hall as part of Court House Neighborhood Association's Rotnney Marsh celebration May 17.

Old House Tour, Antique Display

COURT HOUSE - The Cape May Court House Neighborhood Association will hold its second annual walking tour through its historic neighborhood, part of its Romney Marsh celebration, noon-4 p.m.

Saturday. May 17. The same day. an antique and fine craft show will take place in the Methodist £hurch Social Hall from 9 .'to 5 p.m. Call 465-4977 evenings or 465-2707 days for space. The Old House Tour will feature an S.D. Button house, designed by the architect of the Seven Sisters in Cape May. as well as a tiny Colonial featuring exposed beams, country stenciling throughout and a rustic wooden exterior. THE OLD Court House will throw open its doors and allow visitors to peep behind the long shutters into this magnificent classic building. They may also enjoy the 19th Century Methodist Church and tourists may alternate their wanderings through examples tof both Federalist and late Victorian homes. Tickets will be available at the Methodist Church Hall. Route 9 and Church Street, on the day of the show and house tour. 'Fling' Host Space Trip Candidate AVALON - Max Gomez, the host of the 15th Annual Champagne Fling, has been named one of 100 semifinalists nationwide for NASA's journalist-in-space program. Gomez, an Emmy-winning health and science reporter for KWYTV, is one of only three semifinalists from the Delaware Valley: The Champagne Fling and auction, which benefit the American Cancer Society will be held 3-7 p.m. Sunday.- May 18. at The Golden Inn here. Included in this year's auction will be an exercise program, a VCR machine, a condominium in Fort Lauderdale. Fla.. for a week, plus many more delightful and interesting packages. In support of this benefit, local merchants and businesses donate items to be auctioned. The afternoon festivities include live music, hors d'oeuvres and champagne Lash year, over $28,000 was raised.
