Illegal Car Sale Alleged MILLVILLE — In an investigation of a constitutent's complaint, state Sen. James R. Hurley, RCumberland/Cape May, has uncovered what he says is a proposed illegal automobile sale in Bridgeton. Hertz Car Sales, a division of Hertz of Philadelphia International Airport Inc., had proposed to sell a number of used cars in a parking lot May 17. the second such sale in the past six months, said Hurley. "Not only has Hertz been coming into New Jersey conducting these illegal one-day sales, said Nancy Ryan of the N.J. Division of Motor Vehicles, "But they have been selling cars from their rental facilities in New Jersey, which is also illegal."
