Job Club Sets Registration RIO GRANDE - Registration is set for May 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the Youth/Job Club, a federally-funded program sponsored by the Private Industry' Council and implemented through the Employment and Training Foundation IETF), a private company. ETF's purpose is to recruit and train unemployed youths aged 16 through 21 and workers over 55 who meet federal income guidelines. The training covers preemployment skills such as resume writing, filling out applications, dressing appropriately, interview techniques and job searching. VCR and computer equipment are utilized in the training process and an Atari computer is awarded to youth who successfully complete the program. Classes are held at the ETF offices in the Village Shoppes of Rio Grande, across from the Post Office.
