THE MUSEUM is being funded in part with a startup grant from the State of New Jersey. It will house artifacts depicting the county's link to the commercial fishing, recreational fishing and boating activities which have flourished here for over three centuries. The slide show uses old photos, interviews with fishermen who recall some of the activities of the past, and a professional actor who presents information on whaling, shell fishing and commercial fishing history. Artifacts relating to the county's nautical past are still being sought for the museum. Anyone having exhibit material who would like to have it on display at the museum is asked to call the village at 884-1810 or write Historic Cold Spring Village, 735 Seashore Rd.. Cold Spring.
