Law's Keeps Grip On Softball Lead

CAPE MAY - Laws' Printing remains in first place in Cape May Softball A Division after beating the U.S.C.G. Bears 11-6 and National Associates 16-0. In

the win over the Bears, Will Mendo ignited the offense with 3 hits including a home run. Bill Kennedy also had 3 hits, with Carl Umscheid driving in 3 runs.

Ken Gallagher participated in three double plays against National Associates and had a homerun and three rbi's. Steve Steger and John Vogel also hit home runs, with Mike Moore getting two hits. BURKE BUILDERS stayed in second place after an impressive week of defeating Classic Video 20-4, the EECEN Gumbys 15-0 and the Coast Guard Bears 10-5. Carlos O'Brien's moved to the .500 mark after defeating Classic Video 14-4 and Stumpo's Pizza 15-2. In B League action, Kindle Ford defeated Stumpo's Pizza to remain undefeated. Eckel's Diesel remains in second place A Shortage Of Courts AVALON — The Recreation Department is offering week night aerobics classes 6 p.m. Monday and Wednesday Classes are held at Community Hall. The tennis courts on 8th Street are undergoing a resurfacing. There are still seven courts available. Prior to the summer fee program there will be personnel available on the weekends to insure proper court usage beginning Memorial Day weekend. The courts should all be in use by the middle of June.
