ON THE D I F - FICULTIES of implementing any kind of merit pay for extraordinary teachers, Johnson said, "There are some great teachers who are very visible, and deserving of added pay. But there are also teachers who quietly do a wonderful job who are just as deserving. The Lower Township club meets Tuesdays for lunch 12:15 p.m. at Ben's Restaurant. Seedling Sale Rise
MAYS LANDING - The Cape-Atlantic Soil Conservation District has just released its sales figures for the 1986 evergreen seedling program. Sponsored each spring by the Soil Conservation District, this sale offers to the general public a variety of evergreen species. The number of orders placed in 1986 increased by
over 100 from 1965 for a total of 607 orders. Total seedlings purchased were 70,800. This represents approximately 47 acres of land reforested, in the form of windbreaks, screenings, Christmas tree farms, or general reforestation. Anyone interested in participating in the program for 1967 should contact the District Office in January.
