Coloring Contest I Winners Announced

CAPE MAY -Winners of the recent Tulip Festival coloring contest were announced this week The contest was sponsored by the City of Cape May and the Herald Newspapers First place winners receive a $50 savings bond; second and third place winners reeeive tulip festival tshirts. ^ Winners were as follow s : Ages 13 to loo 1st Place. Expo Picks Dancer i OCEAN CITY - Kenley Bartz. a junior at Ocean City High School, has been selected for Talent Expo Jtoo to be held June 13 at the Garden Slate Arts Center in Monmouth. Bartz was selected following final auditions before a panel of five judges at Middlesex Community College. Edison. April 19. She was the only dancer chosen from this area. Talent Expo is a 19-year-old statewide search for talented teens between 13 and 18 sponsored byGarden Stale Cultural Fund SEVENTY-FIVE South Jersey students competed in preliminary auditions at Egg Harbor Township at which Bartz was selected as a semi -finalist She performed as interpretive jazz number to "Memories" Irom the musical "Cats", attired in a cat costume and makeup Bartz has studied dance for 13 years She is assisting her mother. Sydney Szymanski, at "A Chance to Dance" dance classes in Sea Isle City, where she resides. BARTZ WAS also selected to participate in the 1986 Cancer Telethon, televised on WMGM. and will participate in the Cape May County Teen Arts Festival. She js\ 16. has been a member of the Ocean City High School pom pom and cheerleading squads and is active in the Newcomers Club. She is a beach tag inspector for Sea Isle City.
