MUA Announces Summer Schedule
SWAINTON - The Cape May County Municipal Utilities Authority has announced that its summer schedule at the sanitary landfill and transfer station is in effect. "The landfill will open a half hour earlier and close a half hour later Monday through Friday," said Solid Waste Manager Theodore F. O'Neill. "On Saturday, it "will open an hour and a half earlier and close an hour and a half later. " The summer schedule is in effect until Sept. 20, O'Neill said.
THE SUNDAY schedule at the landfill, which is located on the border of Upper Township and Woodbine, will be in effect June 29 - Sept. 7. During this period, O'Neill said, the landfill will be open 9 a.m. until noon Sundays.
The transfer station in Burleigh will be open one hour later Monday through Friday during the summer schedule. On Saturday, it will open a half hour earlier and remain open an hour and a half later.
THE TRANSFER station will not be open any Sundays, O'Neill said: /He-pointed out that the landfill and transfer station will be open two more holidays during the summer season, July Fourth and Labor Day.

COURT HOUSE - Richard Giuliano, president of the Cape May County Chamber of Commerce, announced this past week the publication of the expanded Cape May County Calendar of Events.
