N - New Jersey The Cape May County Library has a special section on the State of New Jersey called the Jerseyana Collection, which is kept in the Department. This does not mean that of the books on New Jersey are for loan but keeping them all in one place helps us to answer the multitude of questions receive on local history. The County Library is also a depository library for New Jersey state documents. What that means in english is that a copy of all books, pamphlets, studies and documents are automatically sent to us for public use. THE VARIETY of subjects on which state or federal governments hold hearings, adopt regulations or study is endless. A quick browse through our state documents section revealed the following: Nutrition Education Programa for the Classroom (PreK-12); Public Hearing Before Assembly, Judiciary, Law. Public Safety, and Defense Committee on A -A8l (Death with Dignity Act); A Study on Dioxin in Aquatic Animals and Sediment ; New Jersey Casino Control Commission Annual Report; From ^ fnape Territory to Royal Province, New Jersey 1600-1750; New Jersey Pension Study Commission — Final Report. Of course, we routinely receive the budget, the Municipal Data Book, Civil Service Laws, etc. OF INTEREST locally are: The New Jersey Riparian Rights Handbook ; The Water Resources Data Book and the New Jersey Pinelands Comprehensive Management Plan, which relate to the controversial topics under consideration by local governments. Information of places to go within the state are found in a variety of sources. 25 Walks in New Jersey (Jerseyana 917.49D) by Kevin Dann covers a walking tour of Cape May to hiking the Kittantinny Ridge or consider Victorian Holidays SelfGuided Architectural Tours of Cape May, New Jersey by Marsha Cudworth, which covers 126 points of interest and is profusely illustrated.
