Fling For Family
STONE HARBOR - The Second Annual Spring Fling, sponsored by the Wetlands Institute Saturday beginning at 10 a.m., will include fun for the whole family. The day-long event will feature a variety of family activities, including en-
vironmental exhibits, guided marsh walks, scavenger hunts, touch tanks, fiddler crab races, and more. The highlight of the day will be a lecture about birds of prey by Bill and Stephanie Streeter of the Nature Science Raptor Center, who will display a few of their live birds. This 2 p.m. program will take place in the marsh view lecture hall and will in-' elude live hawks, eagles, and owls. REFRESHMENTS will be available throughout the day and a flea market on the front lawn will afford the opportunity to purchase a variety of items. One admission fee will admit participants to all exhibits and activities. For further information, call 368-1211. The Wetlands Institute is a nonprofit organization dedicated to research and education programs dealing with the coastal environment. Summer hours are Tuesdays through Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
