Seafood Festival

CAPE MAY - Activities for the Fourth Annual Cape May Seafood Festival will be held Saturday and Sunday, June 14-15. Saturday, activities are at Convention Hall and begin with memorial services to fishermen lost at sea. The memorial services will be conducted by the U.S. Coast Guard. Upon completion of the memorial services. Convention Hall will be opened featuring maritime exhibits and displays. AT NOON a watermelon eating contest for children

will be followed by a clam shucking contest sponsored by Sea Harvest, Inc. Several top chefs will prepare seafood for the audience sponsored by the Cape May County Extension Home Economist. At 2:30 p.m. the Cape May Seafood Contest will take place with prizes awarded for best appetizer, best soup, best salad, best shellfish and best fin fish. Finally, at 4 p.m. the Miss Cape May -Seafood Bathing Suit Contest will be held. The contest is open to women 16 and older. Throughout the day, musical entertainment will , be provided and tasty seafood will be available, sponsored by the Fisher- j man's Wives.

Cabin Fever In Summer Version CAPE MAY -The Cabin Fever Cafe's "Summer Shade Room" will be held throughout the summer season at the Chalfonte Hotel's King Edward Bar, 307 Howard St., from 7 p.m. every Tuesday. A free association of artists, musicians, and writers, the cafe is an open showcase for all forms of work (acoustic music, poetry, drama, comedy, art displays, etc.) The public is invited to attend as audience or participant. Exhibition Tomorrow At LCMR ERMA — The Practical and Fine Arts Department of Lower Cape May Regional High School will hold their annual exhibition 7 p.m. tomorrow at the school on Route 9. Included will be an exJhibit of home economics works, art and art and crafts projects, industrial arts projects, a bake sale, and some wooden items for sale.
