Stone Harbor Plans For School Ending

By SKIP GLADUE STONE HARBOR - The public is ^fflYited to the Stone Harbor Elementary School tomorrow at 7 for the annual Art Show, Awards Assembly and Concert, according to R. Donald Wendorf, chief school officer. Wendorf outlined a series of end-of-the-year activities to members of the school board at its monthly meeting May 21. "Give My Regards to Broadway" will be the theme of the concert concluding activities tomorrow evening. The chorus is under the direction of Gail Rodger. , MONDAY. JUNE 9 24 ^ members of the Young Astronauts Program will go to the Dennis Township Elementary School, where they will set up rockets they have built from kits. They will be accompanied by Deborah Saettler, science teacher. The annual covered dish supper for members of the eighth grade, their families and school staff will be held 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, in the school. Traditionally the seventh grade is responsible for setup and cleanup. GRADUATION IS scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, June 13. John McVey, principal of Middle Township High School, will be the main speaker. Graduates will include Tracy Taylor, Amy Dougherty, Cush Corson and Tommy Williams.

The Realty Owners Association is hosting a last day of school luncheon featuring Mexican cuisine Monday, June 16. Kindergarten graduation will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 17. In other board of education business, the Sawyer Security and Fire Protection Systems of Wildwood will furnish and install a central fire alarm system during the summer at a cost of 17,485.50 plus inspection fees. FUEL OIL bids for the 1986-87 academic year will be opened at the meeting of the board 7:30 p.m. June 25. Teaching assignments approved for the 1986-87 year include: Judith McAlarnen, social studies, English, career education for grades 5-8; Robert Heidorn, math, science, career education for grades 5-8; Deborah Saettler. Chapter I, science, social studies, algebra, Margaret DeFoney, physical education, health, family life K-8. Mary Beth Ross, grades 3 and 4; Bonnie Heidorn, grades l and 2; Andrea Howard, kindergarten; Marianne Gilmore, reading, BSI Compensatory Education, test coordinator; Esther Pacitti, reading, T&E Coordinator, BSI Director; Ardis Crull, home economics, part-time librarian. Also, Barbara Harberger, art; Eileen Marinakis, school nurse, and Gail Rodger, vocal music.

Club to Hold 'Bridal Party' COURT HOUSE - The Wildwood Christian Women's Club will hold a "bridal party" at its monthly luncheon meeting 11:30 a.m. Monday, June 9, at the Wildwood Golf and Country Club here. The speaker will be Mary Clark from Huntsville, Ala., and special music will be sung by Heather O'Neil from Cape May. Bridal fashions through the years will be featured. Reservations must be made by tomorrow by calling Mary Lou, 390-3378.

Vocational Gear Going On Block COURT HOUSE - Tfce Cape May County Vocational Schools' Board of Education will sponsor an auction of Vocational equipment that is no longer of use to the district starting 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 14, in the parking lot of the Vocational Center at Crest Haven. The district has designated T.J. Sullins, of Newfield, as the auctioneer. Cash or approved checks will be accepted. THE EQUIPMENT to be sold includes items that are now obsolete for use in current vocational programs, many of which have been donated since the establishment of the school district. Included are farm equipment, audio-visual equipment, office equipment, desks, electronics equipment, industrial sewing machines, and a motorcycle. Items for sale will be on display during the auction. All items will be sold in an "as is" condition. Removal of items will be the responsibility of the buyer. The vocational district will make no deliveries. Refreshments will be available as provided by the Vocational Industrial Clubs of America Chapter.
