AVALON - A cocktail party to benefit the Helen L. Diller Vacation Home for Blind Children, along with a tour of the facility, will be held 5-8 p.m. Saturday at the home. 127 26th Ave. here. It is sponsored by the Sea Liiyis, the Stone Harbor Lidns Club Ladies Auxiliary, main purpose of which is to raise money for the home. The annual cost of the home is subsidized by the Stone Harbor Lions. For the past 15 years, visually handicapped boys and girls have enjoyed a wide range of summertime activities at the Diller Home. EACH WEEK during the summer 20 blind youngsters are guests at the home. A total of 200 children spend time at the home in summer, at a cost 1 of 95,000 per year in operating expenses.

The house is staffed with an administrator, five counselors, and a cook. The counselors, majoring in special education for the visually handicapped, are recruited from universities. Each is personally in charge of four youngsters for the week. THE DILLER HOME is equipped with a library, chapel, swings, and merry-go-round. The auxiliary also contributes proceeds from fashion shows, cocktail parties, raffles, Christmas crafts sales and other projects. Co-chairs of Saturday's party are Polly Petrica and Pat McGrath, both of Avalon. Crest Sets Story Hour , WILDWOOD CREST — I The Wildwood Crest Public Library will hold a story f hour for children up to age 7 every Thursday 10:30-11:30 a.m., beginning tomorrow. During July and August story hour will be held twice a week, on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 10:30 to 11:30. The library is at 6301 Ocean Ave. Phone: 522-0564. Harbor Trip RIO GRANDE - A tour of Baltimore's Inner Harbor sponsored by Cape Human Resources will be held Saturday. June 21. leaving the Social Services Building parking lot.
