ROGATE Courses At CCC VINELAND - Cumberland County College will conduct two special one-credit courses for students, grades 7 through 12, in conjunction with ROGATE < Resources Offered in Gifted and Talented Education), a statewide program. They will include Young Adult Literature and Ecology, and registration is open to all students, not just those enrolled in local gifted and talented programs. •HIGH SCHOOL students gain confidence by taking college courses," said Michael Zaccaria, assistant dean of instruction. "Students also enhance their chances of college admission because j they can demonstrate the ability to succeed at higher education." Young Adult Literature will enrich student's backgrounds in literature by making them aware of the wealth of good books available to them during their teen-age years. Books such as "The Outsiders", "Bridge to Terabithia" and "The Chocolate War" will be discussed and analyzed. The two-week course will be presented by Professor Walter Johnson 10 a.m. -noon Monday through Thursday. July 7 to 17. ECOLOGY students will study the relationship between the environment and living organisms. Local ecosystems will be examined through a series of hands-on activities including field work, specimen collection and laboratory experience. The course will be conducted by Professor William Olivero 9 a.m. -noon July 21 through 25. Students may register for the courses on a credit or audit basis in the college Records Office. Bienecki. son of Jane and Eugene Bienecki. also of North Cape May, Saturday, June 7. at St. John of God Church here. The couple plans to reside in Pensacola, Fla., where the groom will be a member of the Navy Blue Angels flight demonstration squadron.
