AVALON — The borough I Performing Arts CommitI tee, headed by Jeannette I Glazier, has planned a conI cert by the 19th Army Band I 7 p.m. Saturday. July 5. at I 30th and the Beach. The concert will be free I and open to the public. It is

suggested that concertgoers bring chairs. Bonnie Feise, chairman, expects a large turnout. The band will perform on the boardwalk and can be viewed from the beach or from the lot next to the Community Hall. Jim Daniels of the Stone Harbor American Legion Post has pledged the support of his group and the Boy Scouts and the Avalon Seniors will also participate. A Day for Art PALERMO - Art Appreciation Day wiull be held at the Upper Township Senior Center, 1369 Old Stagecoach Rd., 1-2:30 p.m. Monday, June 23. For I further information, call 390-9409.

Reception For Artist OCEAN CITY- A "meei ! the artist" reception will be held at the Ocean City Arts Center, 3601 Bay Ave. 7:30-9:30 p.m. Friday, for Robert G. Stickioon. An exhibition of his works, entitled "Robert G. Stickioon: a Portrait", opened at the center Monday and will continue through July 12. Using primarily graphite, he executes formal large works depicting portraits of people at close range. Stickioon also works with egg tempera, watercolor, and gouache. He is a professor in painting and drawing at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania and instructor in photography and drawing at the Schuylkill County Council for the Arts.
