We are selling to the Sumas family, who trade under the name of Village ShopRite Supermarkets, A Q another member of the Wakefern/SnopRite Cooperative. The Sumas' operate 21 ShopRites in the North Jersey area. y n The Starn family has been in business since 1914. At that time, our founders, Mr. and Mrs. Charles S. Starn, began serving P T you. We have come a long way with your help. We thank you for your patronage as we grew from our Pleasantville store, to I n our State of the Art store in Ventnor. We appreciate your bearing with us through our many renovations. By installing new N r departments over the years, such as the Bakery and Floral Shops, the Pharmacies, Banks and Delicatessens, we have been J A able to live up to our motto of keeping our stores "one year newer each year, rather than one year older". It is you the people U who have made us the #1 Food Giant of South Jersey, and we appreciate all you have done for us. Together we have come a 1 long way! I You all have seen our family grow up in our stores and thousands of you know us personally. We have been part of your com- A Q munity through the March of Dimes, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Little Leagues, Bowling Teams, etc., and have supported your W many organizations Our Starn family of three generations, have enjoyed serving you over the past seventy-two years, and 1 jj our stores now employ over seven hundred and fifty families who all enjoy good wages and many benefits. U n The Sumas family is going to update and renovate our present stores and will also build a State of the Art Superstore in the (j t new English Creek Shopping Center located in Egg Harbor Township.
