Summer Sampler Film Series Set
CAPE MAY - The summer sampler film series, a variety for the whole family, will be presented by the Cape May County Art League Sunday evenings in July and August in the Carriage House on the Physick Estate on Washington Street. Children's programs will begin at 6:30 p.m. and the Village Features Rifle Co. COLD SPRING - Only ihe courageous should be at Historic Cold Spring Village when it is invaded by the Daniel Morgan Rifle Co. on Saturday and Sunday for a weekend encampment. Visitors are warned to be prepared for the robbery of the Country Store, skirmishes as well as the military drills that will occur throughout the weekend. Armed with their trusty Brown Bess muskets, the rifle company will arrive 10 a.m. Saturday followed by their camp followers. THESE WOMEN will be demonstrating the skills involved with cooking over an open fire and other necessities of 18th Century life. Historic Cold Spring Village is located at 735 Seashore Road. A second entrance is located on Rt. 9. 1.3 miles north of the end of the Garden State Parkway. For more information, call 884-1810. Aid Sought For Parade WILDWOOD - The city's 76th annual Baby Parade is scheduled for Aug. 21 on the Boardwalk. To finance the event, the Wildwood Chamber of Commerce is soliciting contributions from members and other city businessmen to "help build the parade back to the world-famed event it was". Just haul over that fellow in the converted golf cart. He's Louis Di Lodovico, boardwalk inspector of games and licenses, whose duties have been expanded to include ombudsman with direct access to the mayor's office. Di Lodovico is though to be the state's first traveling information center. He'll carry tourist information in addition to inspecting licenses and keeping an eye on trash and problem areas.
