Wetlands Slates Quilt Show, Tea

STONE HARBOR - The fourth annual Quilt Show and Tea will be held 1 p.m.-4 p.m. at the Wetlands Institute here. The one-day exhibit of quilts, needlework, and crafts by the "Wetlands Needlers" will also be the official unveiling of the group's 1986 quilt, "Leaf Prints". This is the fifth quilt designed by the institute's own staff member. Marion Glaspey, and quilted by the "Needlers". The quilt will be raffled for the benefit of the institute's education programs, and the drawing will be held in November. - FEATURED IN this ^ year's show will be i demonstrations of various \ types of crafts, including 'ij' lap quilting, weaving, spinJ ning, counted cross stitch, ^ and leaf printing. ) At Dance Si Workshop " COURT HOUSE - The ® Main Street Dancers, \ traveling troupe of ^ Dancers Two Inc., of this / community, recently at- ) tended a dance workshop , at Atlantic Community Col- ; lege. This year's quilt is a I splash of fall colors created I by leaf printing with fabric I paints. A demonstration of I the technique used in I creating it will be given by I Glaspey throughout the I afternoon. '
