(Dance for Heart ' Slated on July 12

CAPE MAY - Volunteers from all over "ape May County and surrounding states will participate in Dance for Heart, 10 a.m. -2 p.m. Saturday, July 12. A four-hour danceexercise extravaganza. Dance for Heart is sponsored by Body Mechanix Exercise Studio of Ivest Cape May to raise funds for the American Heart J Association's programs of

cardiovascular research fit and education. tit Music will be provided by nB a DJ, and Cape May City is H donating the use of newly [■ renovated Convention Hall. IV THERE WILL be an 1 aerobic show by a profes- \1 sional aerobic team, Reg- ^ gie's Rockets, during intermission. Dance studios, recreation facilities, spas, health and exercise clubs will participate in Dance for Heart as part of a nationwide, effort to fight heart disease and stroke. Aerobic exercisers collect donations from friends, relatives and coworkers for every minute they aerobisize. Each dancer can win prizes based on the amount of money collected. A $10 donation is required to take part without getting pledges. DANCE FOR Heart demonstrates aerobic exercise as a benefit to cardiovascular health and the AHA. According to local coordinator Jeannie Monge, aerobic exercise is a popular activity because it emphasizes fun and fitness. Participation is not limited by age, sex or shape, so anyone can try it. Since it began in I960, more than 200,000 men, women and children have danced and exercised in Dance for Heart events all around the country.
