Chinnici Bill Signed By Kean • TRENTON — Assembly bill No. 399, recently sponsored by Assemblyman Joseph W. Chinnici, (R) Cape May-Cumberland, to create a state program to encourage counties to establish commissions on child abuse and missing children was signed into law by Gov. Thomas H. Kean, June 17. The bill would appropriate $60,000 to the State Department of , Human Services in order to W implement the program. Each county would be paid $2,500 for start-up or operational costs, by the Department of Human Services, to establish the special commissions. "We must do all we can to combat the serious problems of child abuse and missing children," said Chinnici," and this bill, by being signed into law, adds a new force to the battle against these terrible incidents." Post Office Will Close On Holiday All post offices will be closed Friday, July 4. There will be no residential, business or rural deliveries other than Express Mail and Special Delivery. Mail will be picked up from street collection boxes as well as the boxes in front of postal stations and branches at the time shown for holiday collection. The General Mail Facility in Bellmawr is open for mail deposits 24 hours a day year round. Regular, full-service postal operations will resume Saturday. On 'Shelling Rocky Coast' STONE HARBOH - "Shelling the Rocky Coast of New England" will be the topic of Dr. Paul Langer of Gwynedd-Mercy College, guest speaker at the meeting of the Jersey Cape Shell Club 8 p.m. Monday, July 7.
