Concert Series Announced

SEA ISLE CITY - Attractions to be presented in its series of outdoor summer Christian concerts have been announced by the Sea Isle City United Methodist Church. The concerts will be presented 7:30 p.m. Sundays at John F. Kennedy Boulevard and the Boardwalk as follows: July 6 - Turning Point: A musical ensemble of six students from Eastern College, St. Davids, P. A. proclaims Christian truth through vocal and instrumental music. July 13 - Dean Kennedy and Unity: Vocalist Kennedy with the singing group Unity provide a wide range of Christian music using keyboard and guitars. JULY 20 - Triumph: A musical team of six students from As bury College, Wilmore. Ky. Triumph's music ranges from traditional to contemporary. July 27 - Cornerstone: Back from last summer with gospel music presented by seven young men playing guitar, brass, keyboard and drums.

Aug. 3 - Linda Kell from Mill ville, a former member of the musical group Disciples in Drama. Aug. 10 - Lisa Taylor, from Bridgeton, who sings contemporary gospel music and witnesses to the love of Christ. AUG. 17 - God's Country: John Bobbitt from Salem brings country music to the seashore. Bobbitt plays guitar and is assisted on the keyboard by Barry Porch. Aug. 24 - Osborns Plus: A popular singing group in Summer Svcs. Start July 6 COURT HOUSE — The First United Methodist CHurch begins summer services on July 6. The early service begins 8:15 a.m. and the second service at 10:45 a.m. Special music will be presented at both services under the direction of Lanetta Desrosiers and Debra Dilworth. A staffed nursery is available. The Sunday School meets at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all ages. Prayer meeting is held on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. and is open to everyone, i The new Pastor is Rev. Life, I Forks Of Foster CAPE MAY - Rose Haering will present the life and works of Stephen Foster, the first great American composer of "household" songs, 1:30 p.m. Thursday, July 10. Everyone is welcome to attend the lecture-recitals at the Cape Island Baptist Church, Columbia Avenue and Guerney Street, the second Thursday of every month at 1:30 p.m., when a different composer will be reviewed.
