Eucharist At Advent

CAPE MAY - The Rev. Robert Kahl Jr., will celebrate and preach from Luke 10:1-12 at the Holy Eucharist at both the 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. services at the Church of the Advent, Franklin and Washington Streets, Sunday (Pentecost VIII). Reginald F. Brown will be the organist at the 10 a.m. service. Church School for Kindergarten to sixth grade is held each Sunday at 10 a.m. in the Parish Hall and nursery care is also available during the 10 a.m. service. VACATION CHURCH School will be held Aug. 18-22 for ages 5 through 11. Contact the parish secretary at 884-3065 for further information. Holy Eucharist will be celebrated 7:30 a.m. Tuesday and 9:30 a.m. Thursday with Laying on of Hands at the Thursday service for healing of body, mind and spirit. The annual parish picnic will be held at the County Park, Court House, Sunday, July 13, 10:00 a.m. on. The Men's Club will provide the hot dogs and hamburgers. TuesdayConcerts CAPE MAY - Tuesday afternoon mini-concerts will be held at the first Presbyterian Church of Cape May, Hughes and Decatur Streets, 4 p.m. July 8. Helena Bew and Elaine Sheva, concert pianists, will be guest performers. Their program will include compositions by Bach and Milhaud for two pianos. THE INFORMAL half hour concerts feature a different professional artist every week, and are a gift from the congregation to visitors and residents providing an opportunity to enjoy the music and the beauty of the stained glass windows. The public is welcome, admission free, and dress casual. Seminary Staffers To Speak CAPE MAY - Two faculty members of Faith Theological Seminary in Elkins Park, PA, will share the podium during the morning and evening meetings July 6 - July 12 at the Christian Admiral in Cape May. Reverend James Eugene McFarland is a graduate of Geneva College (B.S.) and Faith Theological Seminary (M.Div.). He has held several pastorates and is currently the dean and registrar of F.T.S. His topics on Sunday morning, Monday evening and Wednesday evening win - focus on Typology and the Old Testament's messages to today's church. REVEREND Edward N. Gross is a graduate of Shelton College (B.A.), Faith Theological Seminary (M.Div.) and is working on his Ph.D at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He is an assistant of systematic theology and missiology at F.T.S., and his topics will center on the Theological foundations of the practical needs of today's church. Services are held 10 a.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Sunday's Meetings are at 11 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.
