ERMA — Horsemanship may not be as important as penmanship at Lower Cape May Regional High School, but it has gotten a foot in the door. School board members last week" approved a request from students and parents for the organization of an equestrian team beginning in the fall term. A delegation of parents Cagers ' Tryout Sunday STONE HARBOR - The borough recreation department will held try outs for its senior girls and high school boys basketball leagues Sunday. Girls 15-21 are eligible for the senior girls league. Players will be separated into four teams, playing a nine-game schedule through the month of July. College basketball players are welcome because the league has been sanctioned by the NCAA. BOYS WHO were in high school for the spring 1986 semester are eligible to play in she high school boys league. Players will be placed on one of the four teams according to age and openings. There will also be try outs for the junior girls and junior boys league. Junior girls, 14 and under, will try out at 6 p.m. at the 97th Street court. The junior girls will also have an instructional clinic every Wednesday (9-10 a.m.) Junior boys. 12-15, will have their try outs at 7 p.m. All try outs and games will be held at the 97th Street courts. contests as acceptable extra-curricular activity, proponents of the team told the school board. Exercise On Beach CAPE MAY -The city is offering a beach exercise class 9-10 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. The class will take place at Broadway Beach. In case of inclement weather, the class will be moved inside Convention Hall. The certified instructor for this class is Kathleen Byrne, who started and directed the aerobics program at West Chester University. STONE HARBOR - The Stone Harbor Soccer League will hold registration 7 p.m. today at the 82nd Street field. This year the recreation department is having two leagues, a 14-and-under league and a 10-and-under league. The 14-and-under league will play its games Monday, Wednesday, and Friday eveings.
The 10-and-under league wil play its games Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Additional tryouts and registration will be held 9 a.m. July 7.
