Why are some I blossoms showy while I others are inconspicuous? | Why are some blossoms funnel-shaped while others are dish-shaped? Why do some flowers have color circles, radiating lines or color blotches? The answers to these questions and more will be provided at the Wetlands Institute 8:15 p.m. this Saturday. Dr. Warren G. Abrahamson, David Burpee Professor of Plant Genetics at Bucknell University, Lewis burg, PA, will present "Why Flowers Are the Way they Are". J THE LECTURE is illustrated with color slides and in one portion of the presentation, the photos are set to music.
