] Clam Shell Search For Treasure Set
i WILDWOOD - This city will hold its first-ever "'Clam Hunt for Treasures" 2 p.m. Saturday, at the bandshell on the ~ boardwalk at Montgomery Avenue. Clamshells will be hidden in designated areas on the beach and the boardwalk. Treasure maps wijl be provided the day of the hunt so that contestants will know what these areas are Some of Wildwood's history is being revealed in the event in the form of the clamshells. Clammers first started their business back in the 1800s. They still carry out the lives that their forefathers led, and base themselves mainly in Otten's Harbor. INSIDE EACH clamshell will be a strip of paper k which will reveal the prize * that the contestant has won. Prizes include amuse- , ment pier tickets and gift . certificates from the j Pacific Avenue and Boai dwalk merchants. The prizes will be awarded at _ 3:30 p.m. at the bandshell.

Children 's Play Slated At Library COURT HOUSE - The Cape May County Library is hosting Atlantic Community College's traveling Children's Theatre for a j performance of "Tarraddiddle Travels" 1 p.m. July 17. An audience participation play about Folktales from around the World, it will take place on the lawn outside the library, with the rain site being the Public Meeting Room of the Main Library. The performers are members of a Children's Theatre Workshop Course offered by Atlantic Community College every summer under the direction of Sue Griffith. The performance is free.
